Speak up, or accept the consequences.

They say you are either a "dog" person or a "cat" person .. and I prefer to think of myself as a dog type of person. Cats are ok, in their place, preferably in someone elses garden chasing their birds, not mine & making someone else but me sneeze and cough when they are stroked, again, not me but under no circumstances would I wish any harm to them, or any animal for that matter - if only the same could be said for a faceless, nameless person working for & representing a company based here in the UK.

That person wishes, simply, that all dogs should be burned - because " they hate them"

The reason this person has so much hatred and anger towards a type of animal is unclear, but what is clear is that when approached by a member of the charity Sighthounds for Life (yes, they are on Facebook) for a possible donation of a piece of jewellery for an auction prize, the simple but shocking response was not "thank you for asking but we dont do that sort of thing" or even a simple "no, go away" .. but a response that clearly shows that the respondent doesnt have a good grasp of  modern social networking.

This is about my 4th ever blog post - which kind of shows how this has got to me. Friends have commented that "this should be publicised better" "people should know about this" .. so here I am .. doing my thing, wondering if people really care in the quantity that will make a difference ...

This post could easily have stopped here ...

.. earlier today I was made aware of the response that even just the small amount of "facebooking" last night created .. and this is it ...

Now call me old fashioned ... ( I'm waiting ... ) .. but is this really the right attitude of a company that wants more sales & increased demand for its products ? Or is it the response from a company that seems to be shouting from the rooftop that it doesnt want more customers as it has plenty, and that it is happy to be seen as a company that just doesnt care .. heaven help any of its existing customers that need some helpful customer service ...

Yes, perhaps my time has been wasted and my attempt at making people aware of this company and its incredibly crass attitude will come to very little, but unless people act when they see an injustice people and corporations will continue to be self righteous and full of self importance which in turn fuels the belief that their attitude is acceptable to the majority ..

So what happens when this attitude and behaviour is directed at those who have no voice .. be they human or animal.

Your move.

Speak with a loud voice or stay quiet & accept injustice.
